Plympton
Plympton Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive Reception to Year 6 school, set within a unique park-like environment between the city and the sea. With approximately 275 students, we are large enough to provide a rich range of learning opportunities while remaining a community where students are known, valued and supported as individuals. We have high expectations for every learner and a strong focus on excellent, evidence-informed teaching. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, while providing the support, challenge and opportunities each child needs to grow in confidence and experience success. Our values of Kindness, Belonging, Curiosity and Perseverance shape the way we learn, work and connect with one another. We celebrate the diversity of our community and want every child and family to feel that they genuinely belong at Plympton. It is also an exciting time for our school, with a significant $12 million redevelopment planned across 2027 and 2028 that will create new contemporary classrooms and learning spaces and revitalise our historic Heritage Building. We invite you to explore our website, book a school tour and discover what makes Plympton Primary School such a special place to learn and belong.
